Termite Treatments

If you haven't yet found out how devastating termites can be, we sure hope to take care of the problem before it gets out of hand. The most Common species of termite in Arizona is the Subterranean Termite. Subterranean Termites, which build their colonies in the soil, from which they have to move to locate the wood on which they feed. Subterranean termites are by far the most common in the South Western United States. Subterranean termites must live in a humid atmosphere with fairly constant temperatures. They build air-tight tunnels or passages from their nests to their feeding places. The tunnels are made by the workers from wood or soil, cemented together with a mixture of saliva and feces. Understanding the termites habitat is key when trying to control these pests.

Outdoor Treatment

To perform a proper termite treatment Outdoors, we will need to have access to all outer walls. We then drill a series of small holes in the foundation (approx. every 18 inches) to spray a heavy solution of pesticide to stop the termite from continuing there intrusion. If you have any concrete work, pavers or tiles, we may need to move them or drill them to get down to the soil. As we understand this is an intrusive job on your home we will make every attempt to be clean and non-destructive.

Indoor Treatment

To perform a proper termite treatment indoors We will need to have access to all interior walls. If you have wall to wall carpeting, we will need to lift all corner areas closest to the outside walls. A series of small holes will be drilled in the foundation to spray a heavy solution of pesticide to stop the termite from continuing their intrusion. In some cases where there may be tile, we will do our best to not destroy it, however tile can be brittle . If we can attack the problem from the outside we will most likely not have to drill into the tile. After the work is completed we will seal the holes and put the carpet back in place. Same as with the outdoor treatment, we always do our best to be as non-destructive as possible.
